I took the kids to the town Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning and they had a great time! They both were excellent egg hunters and ended up finding a lot of eggs. Ava was a bit hesitant about the ordeal when when she realized that she would be in a different age group than Blaine and that I may not be able to go with her to watch her hunt. But after a bit of texting, I found that her friend Marek was going to be there, so she was set knowing that she would have a friend in her group at least:)
Blaine and Ava showed off their finds - I think that they ended up with around 40 eggs total. After the egg hunt, all the kids are given tickets for prize drawings and both kids ended up with winning tickets too! So they came home with lots of eggs, a prize, as well as a coloring book and bag of candy.
Ava and Marek were all smiles with their eggs!
And when we got home, we "peeled" all the eggs, although Blaine's mostly ended up smashed... Then we had lots of deviled eggs for Easter at Grandma Carroll's:)
