Spring???? Break

This week is Spring Break in our neck of the woods - and what a way to start Spring Break than with a snow storm!!!  It started snowing Sunday afternoon and we ended up with about 8" of snow by Monday morning.  Ava was excited when she woke up and saw this out the door - I wasn't so excited about the late March snow.

 Much of the snow actually melted throughout the day Monday, but we still had to get out and play in it as soon as we got home and had a quick bite for supper.  John was eager to play in the snow with the Ranger too - but ended up spending about as much time shoveling it out after he got it stuck as he did actually driving it:)

 Ava was very dedicated about digging a tunnel in the big snow pile - preferring to dig rather than even take a Ranger ride with the rest of us.  Both kids also enjoyed sledding down this pile as well.

 I recall having some pictures of the kids playing on the swingset last March about this time too - but in shorts and sunglasses rather than snowpants and hats!

 Don't mind his pink gloves - they are John Deere at least:) He is a big guy sitting on top of the snow - but never leaving his shovel too far away!

All in all, we had a fun evening playing in the snow, but I am not disappointed at all to see it melting today!  I like snow but prefer it to come in December and January, not March!  I am ready for spring!
