Snowy Indiana

After a few days in sunny San Diego, we came home Tuesday to lots of snow!  After a winter of virtually no snow, we finally had a snow storm in March!  So we made the best of it and got in some play time.  We didn't get home until nearly 6:00, but after a quick supper, the kids were ready to go out and play in the snow.  So we did do some shoveling and built a snowman.
And since I wasn't working today, we ventured to the neighbor's house to play with friends - thanks to Carrie for these couple of pictures:)  We had a good time playing with Maddie, Jude, Eli and Jonah, then enjoyed making personal pizzas for lunch and brownies for dessert!  Blaine has taken a liking to this little blue and white shovel for some reason - we had to get it out for him to help shovel the driveway approach last night, then we had to take it with us to Carrie's and he even had to hold onto it in the Ranger later in the afternoon!
Ava and Jonah are pretty good buddies!

We came home for Blaine to take a nap, then ended up going back out shortly after nap time - first taking a big, freshly baked cookie to Rick as a thank you for taking care of the dog while we were gone.  Then back home for some Ranger-sledding, snow painting, snow "mountain" climbing and sledding down, and general snow fun!  After Daddy came home, he came out to play with us too, even pulling both Ava and I in the sled behind the Ranger:)  But I have had enough snow playing in now, so I don't need any more snow this spring!
