There are days when I love being able to work part time and yesterday was one of those! The extra time spent with my kids is totally priceless. After we dropped Ava off at preschool, Blaine and I had to run to Walmart. So after our shopping, I decided to visit the local bakery which I had a gift certificate for. Blaine loved having his chance to pick his own doughnut and even picked one for Ava. We then went across the street and enjoyed the beautiful spring morning, eating our doughnuts by the courthouse lawn, watching the traffic go by. It was wonderful!!!
We then made our IGA trip for groceries and still had half an hour before we had to pick Ava up. So I asked Blaine if he wanted to go home and unload groceries or go to the park to play - silly question:) We had a good time at the park - fun to see that my little guy has grown up so that he doesn't need me to help him climb up on all the playground equipment anymore.
The rest of the day was all about Ava - pictures with Carrie (some GREAT pics soon to come) and AWANA closing ceremony and awards. But Blaine and I had a good morning together with just the two of us. We fit in some more play time and worked on a couple of outside projects too - and time for popsicles on a warm afternoon too!
