The day finally came to go to Grandma and Grandpa Carroll's for Christmas too! We got there late Friday afternoon, but the plans for a cousin sleepover were squelched after finding out that Doug and all 4 of their kids were all up puking Thursday night! We didn't want any part of that! Thankfully, they all started feeling better during the day Friday and we were able to still get together for Christmas on Saturday as planned. The kids gave Grandpa his present on Friday night though - they had lots of fun as he opened his package with air holes and warnings that it may bite! The stuffed skunk inside got a lot of play the entire weekend. Dad and the kids are always calling each other stinkers and skunks so Ava and Blaine were excited to get him a skunk for Christmas:)
They were up early Saturday morning, eager for a day of presents and play. They had to wait a while on the cousins to show up though and they were actually very patient during the morning wait.It is so fun to see all of them play so well together now. Most of the time, all 5 kids were playing in the basement together peacefully. John started putting together the storage cubbies for Mom and had lots of help from both Blaine and Carson:) Never too early to learn how to use a hammer!
And we tried to get a picture of all 6 grandkids but this is the best we could get:) Carson was not interested in standing still for a picture! But we had a great time with family for the weekend.
