That is what Ava told me on the way home from the sitter last week. And, of course, I really started to wonder what in the world Ava had been doing that would cause Mr. Hall to send me a letter. But then when we got home she took her jacket off and showed me the "Student of the Month" ribbon that she was wearing! She was very excited about this honor:)
And the letter was to congratulate her and ask her to attend the school board meeting for recognition. So we went to the school board meeting tonight, where her principal presented her with a certificate, a pencil, a ribbon and a gift certificate to get a treat at the Homestead while her teacher told everyone about why she was chosen for the award. She was pretty pumped about that too. Good job Ava!
