Another fun, busy weekend!

Summer brings a lot of fun weekend activities and this weekend was one of those.  My parents came over to visit since they were going through grandkid withdraw:)  And they easily volunteered to babysit Sat night so that John could take me out on a date night - supper at Arni's and Idaville tractor pull!  I think this says a bit "redneck" to go on a date to a truck and tractor pull, but we enjoyed ourselves regardless.  Just nice to do something by ourselves without always having to chase a toddler around and worry about what the kids are doing.

Then Sunday brought more playing with Grandma and Grandpa in the morning before we headed to the lake with all the extended Woods family for lunch and afternoon of boating and tubing.  We all had a GREAT time and thank Gary and Brenda for having us all over!  The kids all posed quickly for a picture here before hitting the lake.

 I wasn't originally planning on taking Blaine on the boat ride, fearing that he would not have the patience to sit still on the boat.  But when he saw everyone getting ready to go, he was determined he wanted to go too. So I decided to give it a try anyway and he was great. He got a bit hot and cranky towards the end when we were stopped getting gas, but most of the time he enjoyed watching the other boats and the kids we were pulling behind us.  Here is Daddy with a lap full when we were leaving the house.

 Ava was excited to go tubing - she had went for the first time a few weeks ago riding with my brother.  She had a great time then and was looking forward to it today.  She was the littlest one of the tubing group, but that didn't stop her from loving it and eager for a second ride!

We had a great weekend - fun to be able to spend some quality time with family for some summer activities!
