Indiana Beach

Since my brother's company outing was being held at Indiana Beach Saturday, we decided to go over and meet them there so that the kids could play at the waterpark together.  I didn't get my camera out, but the kids had a great time playing together.  John and I remembered why we really don't care to go to places like that all that often.  So many people and always more concerned about keeping track of the kids than being able to enjoy ourselves quite as much.  But the kids loved swimming at the beach area and also playing in all the water fountains and sprays!  There was only one water slide that Ava was big enough to go on, so she got Daddy to go with her.  There was a pretty long line, but she wanted to go regardless and promised to wait patiently.  She was rather patient, but unfortunatley, they were only about halfway up the tower when it started thundering and lightening. With that, the entire waterpark was closed and we headed out.  I did not want to wait around changing clothes and so on, especially after hearing about the disgusting bathroom situation from Brandy and John! Another reason to avoid these types of public places!  So we headed to the parking lot in our swimsuits, then decided to stop and get pizza to take to John's parents' for supper.  But I really didn't want to go into the pizza place with only a swimsuit on, so John went through the car wash and I could then discreetly change clothes in the front seat admist the water and suds:)  And we all enjoyed out time at Grandma and Grandpa's place as much as our time at the waterpark.  Needless to say, with the cost, disgusting bathrooms and crowds,we likely will not be visiting Indiana Beach again soon.  Probably a better place to go with older kids.  Plenty of other cheap or free things to do that we all enjoy just as much or better.  Although the kids did have a great time playing in the water with their cousins!!
