My Little Monkey

Ava is quite the monkey and climber and had a chance to demonstrate these abilities yesterday. We originally went to Lafayette with Amy and Lauren to go play in the water at Buccaneer Bay, but found out that they were already full to capacity when we got there. We had already gotten the girls excited about going swimming in the pool, so figured we had to find something else fun to do with them. So we decided to check out Monkey Joe's - this was a good choice! Monkey Joe's is a play area with lots of inflatable jumping/playing structures. When we entered, we were met with mass chaos of kids and an overwhelming sauna-like heat - making Amy and I wonder what we were getting into. But we went ahead and let the girls play. They absolutely LOVED it! There are a couple of play structures designated only for kids 3 and under, so it was nice to have a more "docile" place for Ava and Lauren to play. Parents are only allowed on the inflatables when helping kids 4 and under, so Amy and I were playing in amongst a lot of other kids. We took the girls down some of the bigger slides and so on too, which was a lot of fun. It is definately a place that we will likely visit again - especially since it is only $5 for Ava and adults are free! However, I will know to wear something cooler than a heavy sweatshirt though since I was really overheating in this place. Ava was too, but of course, she didn't care since she was playing and having fun!
