Ava and I made some bread, a casserole and cookies for our neighbors this morning - hated to think that Glenda would have to eat only Rick's cooking while she is recovering from knee surgery! Ava particularly loved making the cookies! She had given up on helping me for a while after making bread and was busy writing and coloring. However, as soon as she saw me get the beaters out, she immediately perked up and wanted to come back to help me:) We made some yummy chocolate cookies. And Ava spent nearly an hour licking the beaters and bowl!
I convinced Ava to wear the new apron that Grandma Carroll made for her - such a cute little kitchen helper! Too bad the apron doesn't have long sleeves too since she ended up with a clean belly, but chocolate sleeves on her white shirt:)
Yes, a chocolate face too by the time we were done!
And then we had a great visit with Rick and Glenda when we delivered the goods. Ava particularly enjoyed the M&M dish on their kitchen counter:)
