John is gone tonight at a Stihl training meeting, so I have a evening to myself tonight. So I am just watching some Olympic speed skating as I listen to Ava falling asleep in bed and Allie snoring on her bed in the kitchen. John did call earlier and it sounded like he learned a lot and had a good day - and best of all, got to play with chain saws:) And gets to play with more Stihl products tomorrow! And tonight was getting ready to go down to the hotel lobby to listen to a couple of fat guys play guitar and sing - sounds like quite an evening to me!?
Ava and I spent our evening playing in the basement, which is a real treat for Ava since we don't take her down there that often. Then as I took a shower, she played so nicely and quietly in her room - but did take ALL of her toys out of the bins and even took the bins off of the rack.
Anyway, I thought that I would share a couple of photos from this past week or so while I had some free time tonight.

Ava loves to go on all kinds of rides - and Daddy's horsey rides have to be one of the best!

I think that Ava has enjoyed the box from my birthday present more than any present! Great to color on, put things in or to sit in!

And one of my favorites - Ava loves to help with laundry and the other day was no exception. She helped me get all the clothes out of the dryer and then "helped" me fold them. But got distracted by the undies. She pulled a pair of "Mommy's undies" out and proceeded to put them on, then got a pair of "Daddy's undies" and had to add them on too!
All of you that have kids know this, but it is truly amazing how much they change and learn at this age. Ava loves pointing out colors and gets most of them right and has started counting up to 3. Last night, she was pointing to her letter magnets on the frig and I was surprised when she knew several of the letters. She really is the joy of our days and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!
