Lost Cat

Around here, we have a revolving cat population - we never keep cats all that long.  Could be the road, or the coyotes, or who knows what, but they seem to always disappear one by one.  We have had two barn cats since last summer and the kids have loved playing with them - Ginger and Pickles.  Well, Ginger came up missing a while back.  The kids were not distraught or anything really - just matter of fact that the cat is gone and may likely be dead.  But anyway, Ava was reading a book about cat care and read in the book that if you lose a pet, you should make posters to place around in case someone has seen it.  She found that she did not have a picture of Ginger, but came and asked to borrow my phone to take a picture of Pickles since they are sisters and look a lot alike.  I had to help her get pictures printed, but she then went to work.  Before I knew it, she had produced 5 missing cat posters and was ready to put them up on telephone poles.  I told her that the telephone pole method probably wouldn't work quite as well for barn cats in the country, but maybe she could give them to neighbors.  So we had to stop and deliver missing cat posters to a couple of neighbors that night on our way to church.  The cat has still not turned up, but she was trying to be a responsible pet owner - more than most barn cats have!
