We have been enjoying these nice summer days! Always so busy though! But lots of fun:). Last Friday, when it was hot, the kids were thrilled when I got the little inflatable pool out, and even more excited when I broke out some water balloons! It was also great fun to ambush Daddy with water balloons when he got home from work.
Then we went to my parents for the weekend and the kids got some swimming time in the pond, even though it was a bit cool and rainy. Nothing was going to stop them from swimming. Ava was excited that I let her swim all the way out to the raft and jump off of it a couple of times.
Then they got in some good play time with the Carroll cousins - playing, painting, watching a movie, staying up late and then even having a slumber party! Ava convinced Grandma to let the girls stay for a sleep over. Then they all had a tea party breakfast with mini pancakes - spoiled at Grandma's house.
On Sunday, we went to my aunt and uncle's cottage on the lake and spent some time with extended family. The kids got in some more swim time.
And Ava got in some fun tubing time! But then we saw Doug making some odd motions when riding with her and as we tried to figure out what he meant, he slipped off of the tube. She kicked uncle Doug off so that she could ride all by herself! Aubrey and Samantha were a bit concerned though that their Daddy fell off:), but we did go back and get him eventually.
