Ava has started playing basketball in the local youth league and is loving it! First graders work mostly on fundamentals these Saturday mornings rather than throwing kids directly into game situations and she is learning a lot.
Santa brought her a basketball for Christmas and she spends a lot of time dribbling and practicing in the basement. We may have to invest in a basketball hoop outside one of these days:)
Hard to tell if she will be a great player or not, but she is learning and having a lot of fun right now and that is all that matters. She has many friends on her team and some good coaches. I love watching my kids develop new skills and test things out to see what they are good at or what their talents and passions may be!
