Happy Birthday to Us!

I have found it to be a true blessing to share my birthday with my son!  He finds it pretty special too.  Of course, a birthday is much more exciting when you are 3 versus 36!  His excitement makes me even more excited for our birthday:)  Since I didn't think it would be all that exciting to wake up on your 3rd birthday and just get ready to go to the babysitter like any other day, I figured I better come up with something kind of special for him.  So I got some chocolate donuts for a special birthday breakfast treat and even added candles.  That, coupled with some balloons for the special birthday boy chair, made for one excited little boy at breakfast time this morning.  We still had to get ready to leave, but he had a special start to his day and also had birthday treats to take to the sitter with him.

 Everyone at work brought in special treats for my birthday today - we like any excuse to share good food:)  And I also got some beautiful flowers delivered from John!  We let Blaine open his presents after supper and he was super excited to play with his new payloader and fireman play costume.  Now to get ready for a birthday party on Saturday!
