Father's Day

It has been a crazy week, starting with a great Father's Day weekend spent with family.  My parents came over to visit so we also had John's parents over for supper on Saturday evening.  We celebrated Father's Day, a belated birthday for John since Mom and Dad hadn't seen us since his birthday, as well as Allie's 6th birthday!  Ava had been asking about when Allie's birthday was and I knew it was in June or July and looked it up and found that it was June 15th - same day as our family supper.  The kids decided that we had to get her a new collar for her birthday so I made a stop on Friday to get a super-large purple collar.  Ava was thrilled with the purple collar - since Allie is a girl and all, she needed a pink or purple collar:).  The kids even got my parents to go to the park with them Saturday afternoon while I got supper started - lots of fun.  I decided on a Pinterest-inspired gift for John's Father's Day since I really didn't know what else to get him and it turned out really well!  And the kids thought it was great fun putting ink on their feet!
