Blaine-isms

My little guy continually amuses us - 2 is a fun age!  He is starting to develop such a fun personality and is a very easy going litle fellow.  I just wanted to take a bit to document a few of the particular "Blaine-isms" that are unique to him that make us smile:)

  • Thumbs - For some reason, he has a thumb fetish.  Not his own, but anyone elses thumbs.  When sitting with him, laying in bed with him, holding his hand, driving down the road or just being near him, he asks for your thumb.  He likes to rub your thumb nail.  Ocassionally, he "breaks" my thumb or even "fixes" it, but mostly, he just wants to hold and rub it...
  • I, I, I - Cracks me up as he sounds like a pirate!  But really, he is just getting rather independent and wants to do things himself.  So when he wants to do something by himself, he starts shouting out "I, I, I!"
  • Hugs & Kisses - He is quite the little stinker when it comes to giving hugs and kisses at times.  He likes to tease when we ask him for a hug or kiss.  Often, he "eats" our hugs or kisses, or they may be any number of places - on the ceiling, in the pond, in Allie's mouth, in the trash can, or wherever else happens to pop into his mind at the time.  We sometimes have to work pretty hard to get them back so that he can give them to us:)
  • Play by Play Pooping - This one really cracks me up!  Like a true guy, he often spends a loooong time pooping.  But as he sits on the potty for 20 minutes, he continually gives you a play by play of how his pooping is progressing.  "It toming (coming) Mommy" or "I hear mine poop toming" or "Mine poop is stuck in mine butt" or "Plop - it got out!"  And what Mom doesn't love to hear "I make stinkies for you Mommy!"  How can  you not laugh at this??  I know that someday, we will have to teach him that it is not always polite to relay the play by play to anyone in earshot of the bathroom, but for now, it is too cute to curtail:)
And just thought that I would throw in a picture of this cute little guy plowing my garden for me!  So glad that my mother-in-law saved John's old tractors so that Blaine has some tractors to play with outside, although I often end up having to pick them up since he is good at getting them out, but doesn't always remember to put them away:)
