It has been a while since I have posted, so thought that I would catch up with a few random pictures from the past couple of weeks. We really haven't been up to much exciting here. John continues to work a lot while harvest continues, although it was nice to have him around this weekend since it rained. And he actually ended up staying home with the kids last Monday since Blaine had a fever and not feeling last Sunday. I had a couple of herd visits in IL scheduled and was then heading to IA for a meeting, so John did Daddy duty. Blaine actually ended up feeling pretty well by Monday so John and the kids had a great day together. John and Blaine had to pick Ava up at preschool, but then they apparently made another stop afterwards since they sent me the following picture. John decided that Blaine needed some new little tractors and heard that the local Case IH dealer was having a toy sale. So the John Deere guy played hooky from work to go buy some red toys for his son!
But Blaine enjoyed his new tractors immensely! He had found a box full of Daddy's old toys, but they were mostly all implements and no tractors, so he needed something to pull all those implements with. Later in the day, I got this picture of Blaine farming with his new tractor:) We also have been busy decorating pumpkins. Grandpa Carroll sent us home with several pumpkins and gourds the last time we visited. I was dreading the thought of carving all of them, so I was happy when I found some craft foam faces to stick on the pumpkins. The kids have had a great time decorating all these. And we still have the two pumpkins that we brought the kids back from Michigan that we will likely cut into this weekend. But only two to carve now - because you know that you can't have "plain" pumpkins sit around without carving them:)
And I had to include this recent picture. I was amused as I watched Blaine sit down and start showing Allie all the tractors in his book! He was telling her all about them.
We had the train track out this weekend and Blaine played with it for hours! Not only does he LOVE trucks and tractors, but trains too!
