Ava is into the "why" stage at the moment - that is her standard response to any comment we make. We try to answer and educate to some extent, but there gets to be a limit... I did have to chuckle at our conversation on the way home tonight though: I mentioned it was starting to rain on the windshield. So of course, Ava asks why. I reply because God is making it rain. Again, "Why?" So I told her she would just have to ask God that question. So then I hear her in the back seat "Why you make it rain God?" I am not sure what God told her about that.
But this then started the questions about where is God? Such a difficult question to answer to a 2 year old! She sounded a bit confused when I told her he was in heaven (again, "why") and that a bit of God also lived in our hearts. But then again, that is often a hard concept for all of us adults to wrap our minds around too...
