Ava also loved the racing pigs, horses, cows, dogs jumping and splashing in the water, huge pumpkins, fish, popcorn, tons of tattoos (yes, that ALL had to be put on when we got home!) and of course, the chocolate milkshake! Such a big day made for one tired little girl though - she was asleep shortly after we left the parking lot! But we all had a great time spending the day together at the fair.

State Fair
We visited the State Fair Monday and had a great time. I had to give a talk about pigs for the IVMA, so I convinced John to take the day off and we would just all go down for a family trip. Well, it ended up that my parents and my brother and his family even met us down there. So Ava had a lot of extra fun with grandparents and cousins around! Here are just a couple of pictures from the day. I forgot to get my camera out most of the time:)
All the kids enjoyed sitting in the race car!
Cody loves ANYTHING with a steering wheel and goes "vroom" - I even heard him telling his dad when walking through the old tractors "I NEED vroom!"
Tour of a school bus.
Ava loves tractors and combines. She enjoyed "driving" this combine as they watched it go through the field on the TV monitor in the front window. She told John they were racing Rick, our neighbor :) Kids have such great imaginations!
