Readers Learn A Lot...

I know that my daughter is a good reader and I am realizing that a whole new world is opening up to her as she can read everything now!  But I'm not so sure I always want her reading everything... There was a perfect example the other night at church.  After small group time, Ava and her friend Lauren, came up to me whispering about something.  I had to ask a couple of times to understand what they were trying to tell me since they were laughing as they were whispering in my ear.  They were asking me what tampons were!  They had read the sign in the church bathroom asking that tampons not be flushed down the toilet.  I tried to put Ava off and told Lauren to ask her mom - not wanting to have that discussion with a couple of 6 year olds in church!  A bit awkward, but the most hilarious part was that I then found out that they had asked their small group leader (a young, quiet, single guy) first!  The rest of us female leaders were laughing at this conversation and so wishing we were able to see his face when these two giggly girls came back from the bathroom asking him about tampons!
