We had several Halloween adventures recently and I thought that I would share a few pictures from those. Blaine was excited for his preschool Halloween party. The kids all dressed up and some of the Moms went in to help with the party. I had a good time seeing all the cute costumes and helping the kids with their Halloween games.
Here is Blaine with one of his buddies, Brady - our Fire Chief and his cowboy friend:)Ava also had a costume parade at school (although I wasn't there to take pictures) and the kids took treats to treat all the staff. We made caramels - yummy! Ava even wrapped them all herself and bagged them to take to teachers and staff. On Halloween day, the weather was really crummy! Snow - yes, SNOW! and very windy and cold. We decided not to go out Trick-or-Treating and stayed home to carve pumpkins instead. The kids had a fun time carving their own faces on their pumpkins.
Since the weather was so yucky on Friday, Wolcott moved their Trunk-or-Treat and costume parade to Saturday. So we decided to head over to participate. Lauren was over at our house playing and she talked her mom into going with us. So we had a cat join our fireman and his fire dog:)
The kids loved the trunk-or-treat and met up with lots of friends even. They sat in the school with friends Eli and Jonah. My kids had not been to a costume parade before, but quickly caught on by watching the youngest kids start out parading around in a circle around the judges.
They did a good job participating in the contest and both ended up winning 3rd prize in their age division, so they both went home $5 richer:)
They are already talking about next year's costumes - which, of course, will change a hundred times before next Halloween actually gets here.
