We have been busy throughout July - including hitting multiple 4-H fairs. When you live in the corner of a county and live/work in multiple counties, it means you hit several different fairs! We first hit the Jasper County Fair. We even took the kids to the truck and tractor pull - they are enjoying it with their milkshakes and hearing protectors!
Ava and I did have to take a break from the pull to go see Elsa (from the Disney movie, Frozen), who was visiting the fair that night! Lots of other little girls had to visit Elsa too, as the line was pretty long:)When we went back to the Jasper County Fair later in the week, we saw lots more of the fair, including learning about wildlife in the SWDC building. The kids wanted their picture taken with this beaver!
We also visited the White and Benton County Fairs. Again, lots of friends and projects to see. At White County, we also watched the "Dancing Tractors" - a bunch of Farmall H tractors square dancing. The kids had their pictures taken with the tractor drivers after the show - of course, half of the guys driving had to be dressed as ladies for their partners!
We have had lots of fair fun this month, in addition to work, lots of gardening, etc. Hard to believe that summer break is going to be over in three short weeks!
