Wow - where have the past 4 years gone? I can't imagine my life without kids anymore, but I am not sure how they grow up so quickly either. I vividly remember giving birth to a sweet little baby girl not all that long ago. We were exhausted by the time she arrived at 6:35 AM after laboring all night and not sleeping for 24 hours at that point, but so excited to meet her. I was also very surprised since I was thoroughly convinced that I was having a boy! But we love her to death (even when she is a turd with a bad attitude!) and she adds so much joy to our lives.
We celebrated her 4th birthday with a busy day, but lots of fun. After taking special treats to preschool and celebrating her birthday with all her friends at school, we went to the park for a bit, then met Daddy for lunch at McDonald's. Then she convinced me to let her ride her bike all the way to Rick & Glenda's house - she had never ridden on the road, but she was quite a trooper and had a good ride. I only had to push her a bit on the way home against a strong head wind. To top the day off, Grandma & Grandpa Woods came over for supper and cookie/ice cream sandwiches. And presents! She told me the presents were her favorite part of the whole day:) So glad that she enjoyed her birthday and I know that she is looking forward to celebrating again Saturday at her birthday party! Happy Birthday to my baby girl!!!
