What We've Been Up To

It has been a little while since I have had much of a post, so I thought I would update you with a few recent pictures.  We have been busy lately with summer activities, John has been super busy at work since he is down a parts guy and I have been busy this week in IN, IL and MI working.  Anyway, here is another photo op where Ava asks me to take a picture of her and Blaine... she still adores her brother a lot!

 We visited my parents last weekend for a family reunion and enjoyed some time in the pond.  John attracted all the girls:)  Uncle John was lots of fun to play with in the water!

 And Dad christened his new pirate ship that we all got for him for his birthday - he only nearly capsized it once when some strong winds started blowing in! 

We left my parents on Sunday and headed to a Castongia's golf outing with John's work.  Keep in mind that we are NOT golfers at all, but we had a lot of fun regardless.  We arrived late, but caught up with a group on the course and John and Ava enjoyed some golfing.  One lady in the group gave Ava a pink golf ball to use and she thought that was great.  She actually hit the ball about as well as I would have a lot of the time - even though the club was as tall as she was!  We only golfed 4 or 5 holes because Blaine was getting tired and fussy.

We went to preschool registration tonight and we got to see Ava's classroom.  She was excited about it and having so much fun she didn't want to leave.  But shortly after we got home, Rick showed up on his 4 wheeler and she easily talked him into giving her a ride.  I am not sure who enjoyed it more:)

 And Blaine enjoyed some time to swing - he LOVES to swing outside and never seems to get tired of it.  And it doesn't show up too bad in this picture, but he is sporting a decent bruise on his left cheek compliments of his sister.  She managed to tip his stroller over yesterday - somehow involving Ava climbing on the stroller, the dog and a dog bone... in a couple of seconds that I had my back turned picking a zucchini in the garden.  I figure I should probably count myself fortunate that it took 6 1/2 months before Ava caused Blaine's first injury.
