We went to my parents again last weekend - they invited us over to attend a supper at one of their Amish neighbors. It was a good time - a great supper and great hospitality. After supper, Tobie & Sarah even got a horse out and took the kids on buggy rides. Sarah even let the kids drive the horse! I felt sorry for the horse - I think she was a bit confused at times and was kept going pretty fast the whole time with 3 & 4 year old drivers!
Sunday, then, we made noodles - lots and lots of noodles. Mom saves all the egg yolks from all the white cakes she bakes to decorate for people and when she has a lot saved up in the freezer, we make noodles.
Ava was a good helper - she did a lot of smashing, rolling, flouring (lots and lots of flouring), moving, as well as eating flour (yuck! but she seems to love to eat flour for some reason...).See - we made LOTS of noodles. I think there ended up being 52 quart bags of noodles put in the freezer - yum!
Blaine didn't really care about the noodle-making fest, but enjoyed playing with Grandma's cookie cutters and with Cody and the dump truck:)
