Busy Summertime...

Summer seems to get so busy and filled with so many fun things! This past weekend, Ava and I headed to Kokomo for the Relay For Life. My sister-in-law's co-workers had put together a team ("Sondra's Sisters") in her honor and we went down to join them for the day. Ava had a good time playing with Lilly and Bella, as well as Grandma, AJ and Sondra. We walked around the track a few times, listened to some live music and enjoyed the company. It was rather soggy and muddy since there was a severe storm and downpour the night before, but that was OK. I did end up cutting the day a bit short since I started to feel sick. Actually, I ended up feeling really crappy by the time we got home. I skipped out on the birthday party we planned on attending that evening, but John and Ava did at least deliver presents and run some errands so I could get some rest. I found that it is hard to be sick when there is constantly a little voice saying "mommy, mommy." The rest of the night I ran a fever of 103-105 and felt like I had been run over by a Mac truck! I have not felt that horrible for a long time and hope that I don't again anytime soon!!! Thankfully, I started feeling better as Sunday progressed, but I did cancel my plans to cook lunch for my parents and in-laws for Father's Day - I didn't think they would appreciate catching whatever I had and I was in no shape to cook at all.

Today has been much better! Ava and I ran some errands and splashed in her little pool this afternoon. And in the middle of that, I caught this picture that I just decided was too cute not to share... She may hate me for it when she gets older though...

This started as a wedgie. As she sometimes does, her solution to fix the wedgie was to pull her shorts and undies halfway down her butt cheeks. For some reason, she then decided that her stickers needed to go on her butt cheekies... Who can explain what goes through the mind of a two year old?????
