It has been a long time coming - my friend Carrie and I started working on VBS planning in February. We had a great week this past week though - 2 hours of VBS every night. We still have the closing program tomorrow morning before church, but everything else is completed. It really has been a lot of fun - making the work all worthwhile. We had a total of nearly 80 kids, with around 60 kids every night. I think that they had a lot of fun. And hopefully they also learned a lot about our "Wild and Wonderful" God in our Wildwood Forest VBS program. I thought that I would share a few pictures from this past week.
Carrie and I - amazing that we still had smiles left Friday night:)

The kids did a phenomenal job bringing offerings each night for our mission focus. We are giving our VBS offering to Advancing Native Missions, a mission group that works to empower native people in underserved countries to spread the Word of God. We even had a chance to have a speaker from this group talk to the kids and show pictures of kids going to VBS in a boat. Another incentive for the kids was that they got to throw water balloons at Pastor Andy (AKA Ranger Riley, our VBS emcee) at the end of the week because they did such a good job raising money!
