Easter

We started our Easter Sunday by going to church, where we watched the Easter drama that the teens put on. They did a great job! Ava was very attentive and interested in watching as well. She really liked watching Jesus and any time that he left the stage would ask me "where Jesus go?" I kept answering that he would come back and we would see him again - I know Ava did not understand any deeper meaning, but my answers to her did make me realize again how awesome it is to know that because He rose from the dead, we do have that opportunity to see Jesus again someday. I know that we see a lot about Easter bunnies and so on this time of year, but I hope that we all remember that the only reason we celebrate this holiday is to remember that Christ died for us and all of our sins. We did have a really good service this morning. Ava also really became fascinated by Pilot and also kept asking about him when he left the stage. She has still been asking me this evening where Pilot is.

After church, we went to John's parents' for lunch. It is good to spend some time with family.

We did get a brief chance to get a picture of all three girls before the Easter dresses were exchanged for play clothes. Ava liked getting to "hold" Bella with Lilly.

Grandma and Grandpa did have some eggs to hunt as well and Lilly and Ava had a great time finding eggs outside. Although Ava really wasn't all that interested in finding more eggs after she found a big one with pictures of M&Ms on it!

Ava also got a hula-hoop for Easter. Daddy was kind enough to show her how to use it! And Mommy was kind enough to have a camera ready and post this picture on our blog:)
