Florida Trip - First Plane Ride

My annual swine vet conference was held in Orlando this year.  John has attended this conference with me several years, but we decided to also take the kids with us this year and make it double as a family vacation.  Our kids have never been on much of a vacation, so this was a HUGE trip for them!  We told them about the trip less than two weeks before we left so that we didn't have to hear "how much longer" for too long!  The big day finally arrived and they were beyond excited to say the least!!!  The airport proved to be as exciting as most anything.
Seeing as my kids have never even experienced public transportation, the shuttle ride from the parking lot to the terminal started the fun.  Then there were escalators and moving walkways in the airport!  I'm not sure why we bought tickets to Disney when we could have just visited the airport;)  Then lots of fun to watch the planes and baggage cars and all the activity on the tarmac.
Our flight was delayed an hour but we finally boarded.  These guys were pretty excited and had to have window seats so they could view the clouds and the ground.
After all the build-up and excitement of the plane ride, we asked Blaine how he liked the plane ride after we got to Orlando.  He just replied that "it was boring" - he doesn't realize how much more boring it would have been to sit in a car all day to drive to Florida!  After all the excitement of take-off, plane rides really aren't that exciting.  But they did great on the ride since they had homework, coloring books, the tablet, tractor magazines and other things to keep them entertained.
