My cousin got married this past Saturday - Congrats Megan and Dan! Therefore, we made a trip to my parents and spent the night there on Saturday. The kids always love a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house of course. I got a quick picture of them all spified up for the wedding before we went into the church, then you can see that they had a fun time dancing at the reception:)
On Sunday after lunch, Grandma and Grandpa gave surprises to all the kids - marshmallow shooters! So we had 5 kids running around shooting mini marshmallows all over and having a blast - Carson was too little to enjoy shooting them, but enjoyed roaming around and picking them up off the ground to eat them instead:) However, when we got home, the kids (and their Daddy, maybe even a bigger kid!) figured out that if you put the air compressor hose over the end that you blow in, the marshmallows really fly!! So they had marshmallows flying all over the toolshed. The dog loved these new toys too - she scarfed up all the ammo after it hit the ground.
We had a good weekend, however, Blaine's weekend ended up with a fat lip:( Of course, he was jumping and doing something that John had just told him not to do because he might fall and get hurt, to which he replied that "No, I won't!" Well, Daddy was right and he fell onto the rotary mower in the barn. Thankfully, no teeth were damaged, but his lip did not fare so well - very sore and swollen! Not the first, and certainly not the last for this fearless, adventurous little boy! But it did get him some extra Mommy cuddles:)
