What We've Been Up To...

Not much exciting really, but I thought that I would give you a couple of pictures and updates anyway.  We are excited to welcome a new nephew/cousin to the world though.  Carson Alan Carroll was born Friday morning and we are excited to go meet him this weekend!  Congrats to Doug and Brandy and sounds like Aubrey, Samantha and Cody are already loving being the big sisters and brother:)  We also enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather this past weekend and got a lot of outside projects done - too bad we then had SNOW this morning!  I think that Ava's most favorite job Saturday afternoon was pulling out some excess Rose of Sharon bushes that keep spreading.  Some were too big to pull by hand so we pulled them out with the Ranger - she thought that was the best thing ever to watch, cheering and laughing with every bush:)  We also visited Grandma and Grandpa Woods this weekend.  Grandpa had eye surgery last Wednesday and has to keep his head looking down for a week - as you can imagine, he was already pretty tired of this position!
But here are a couple of pictures for your amusement...  The kids got out all of Ava's jewelry the other day and Ava had to put it ALL on at the same time.  Then requested I take her picture.
And Blaine of course has to do what sissy does, so he also donned the play skirt and cheesed it up for a picture.  Daddy loved seeing his studly little man in a skirt:)  Too bad he didn't see him with all the necklaces and bracelets too!
And tonight we enjoyed a special doughnut treat!  The kids loved helping make them by cutting the middles out of some biscuits, then decorating them with sprinkles.  Then they especially loved eating them!
And after a week of not being able to turn my head completely, an aching neck and resulting headaches, I finally went to the chiropractor after work today.  And now I am kicking myself for not going last week since he took 5 minutes to easily adjust something that was way out of whack and I am now feeling soooo much better.  I know that if my kids were in pain for just a couple of days, I would be seeking care for them, but why do I wait so long for myself???
