Busy Summer Weekend

Summer always brings a lot of things to keep us busy.  Ava was especially busy as she went to "Camp Grandma" last Thursday. She could hardly wait for my parents to come pick her up.  She had full days of swimming, fishing, playing, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire, making crafts, visiting a bounce house, playing with cousins and lots more I am sure.  We went over Saturday to pick her up.  John went with Dad, Doug and Cody to a tractor pull Saturday night and it sounds like all the boys had lots of fun.  This was Cody's first tractor pull and he loved the tractors - told us all about sitting in one even:)  On Sunday, we all went on a paddle boat ride on Lake Webster.  It was a memorial cruise in memory of Mom's uncle since he lived on this lake and loved watching the Dixie cruise past his place all the time.  Ava quickly found out that she didn't like the loud whistle and horn though - she kept her ears covered any time the horn and whistle blew.
The kids ended up on the bottom deck shortly after the boat ride started.  Samantha is quite the little diva posing for a picture with Ava.
And Blaine enjoyed getting Cody- Cody enjoyed it too.  These cousins are going to have a lot of fun together in the coming years I believe.
Ava helped me give Blaine a bath later after we got home.  His splash zone during bath time is starting to get a bit large now:)
And although Ava loves her brother, I started to see some of the sibling sharing issues coming out tonight.  I grabbed the fish bowl toy (which Ava never plays with) out of Ava's toy box for Blaine to play with.  But Ava immediately thought she had to have it and Blaine couldn't have it because it was her toy.  Never mind the fact that she plays with Blaine's toys all the time - that's different:)
