Ave went to "Camp Grandma" at my Mom and Dad's for a couple of days so I told John he needed to take me out on a date Friday night since we had the almost unknown freedom of being kidless :) So he did take me out to eat - even planned a place to eat and didn't tell me where we were going. But we ended up at 9 Irish Brothers, which was a new place to try for us - it was really good and I even have leftovers for Saturday lunch! It was kind of nice not to be on a schedule at all or worry about getting home to put Ava to bed or relieve a babysitter - after a while, you forget what that is like. Then our exciting date took us to Target to look around for a bit before going to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream. I was very, very full after eating so much good food all evening, but it was totally enjoyable.
To top off our romantic date night, we got home and ended up chasing each other around the bedroom and living room...
trying to catch a mouse! In the end, the mouse got away from us and disappeared, but we were left with a mess of furniture and so on moved and thrown everywhere! Needless to say, I went to town and bought some mouse traps and am hoping to catch that critter! I also sealed off the hole in the basement that is the only place he possibly could have gotten in. I don't really mind mice persay, but I do not want to share my house with them - or my date night!
