Memorial Day Weekend

Wow - summer has appeared fast!  We had cool spring weather last week, then 90o summer temps this weekend!  And I say this as I am sitting in a hot house with no AC and a naked baby on my lap!  The AC guy couldn't make until tomorrow to recharge our air conditioner - oh how we get used to that comfort!    Anyway, I just thought I would share some pictures from our extended Holiday weekend - it was nice that it had rained just enough to keep farmers out of the field so that John didn't have to work.  We didn't do much too special, but our parents and John's sister's family came over for supper and ice cream Sunday for John and his Mom's birthday (they share a b-day June 2). 

 My parents stuck around until Monday and Ava engaged them and John in a game of T-ball.

 While their #1 fan dozed in his comfy ride:)   BTW - if any of my blogging friends know why Blogger sometimes puts my pictures sideways or know how to fix it, please let me know!!

 After lunch, Grandma initiated awater fight with water squirters she brought for the occasion.  But after Ava started getting wet, she decided that she needed to take her clothes off, so started stripping down in the driveway.  I did at least convince her to put a swimsuit on instead!

 Water squirters weren't enough, so Ava helped Daddy go blow the pool up.  Got to love the fashion statement ofboots and swimsuit:)
